    I was not terribly impressed with this story it seems like Howard was depending on the fame of the Solomon Kane name as he wrote it, for there s not much to interest the reader but the appearance of that character Kane passes sentence on a man whom has murdered his insane cousin leaving him in the swamp where the ghost was killed, allowing the ghost to perform the execution so it might find peace.The title, while dramatic, is pretty unrelated to the story It s just a line screamed in fright, I was not terribly impressed with this story it seems like Howard was depending on the fame of the Solomon Kane name as he wrote it, for there s not much to interest the reader but the appearance of that character Kane passes sentence on a man whom has murdered his insane cousin leaving him in the swamp where the ghost was killed, allowing the gho...

    This was better than the other book I read by Robert E Howard Someone once said that all his main characters were the same, and I can kind of see that I swung back and forth between 3 and 5 stars on this book, and went with three in the end just because his writing is so childish But his stories are so so so good, and if you re a fan of over the top dramatic writing, like I am, these stories are a sheer joy...
